The convention information/help desk and the treasurer’s desk will be in the Pre-Function Area outside Exhibition Hall CDE.
YOUR ATA MEMBERSHIP CARD ADMITS YOU TO THIS CONVENTION FOR 2017
Please note that all delegates eligible to attend Palliser Convention(members of the A.T.A. employed as full or part-time teachers by boards of member locals as of February lst) will be required to bring their ATA membership cards to convention for admission to all sessions at Palliser Convention. You may be asked to show it in the event a session is full. Members of the A.T.A. employed as full or part-time teachers by boards of member locals as of February lst do not need to sign up at the information desk. If you have lost your ATA Membership Card you can print one by following the directions from this weblink CLICK HERE. For newly hired teachers who can't print the ATA Membership Card, please have your principal write a short note on school letterhead and bring that to the convention information desk and we will issue you a temporary ATA card that admits you to all sessions.
STUDENT TEACHERS, SUBSTITUTES, GUESTS, AND RETIRED TEACHERS
Student teachers, substitutes, guests and retired teachers are admitted free. Please sign up at the information desk to receive a wrist band for admission to all sessions.

PRE-REGISTRATION JANUARY 8TH 2017
You must pre-register for some sessions. PRE-REGISTRATION will be available from 9:00a.m. January 8th until February 20th, by following the instructions at http://www.pdtca.org/pre-registration.html.
The evaluation form is available through the evaluation link in each session detail in Sched and is specific to that session as the title of the session is already filled in. You do not need to create a profile or be logged in to access the evaluation form.
Online handouts are available in Sched this year by clicking on the session title to reveal the details where you will the handouts if there are any.
Please note that if all the chairs in a session are full, the session is full to capacity. Please cooperate with this regulation which the Convention Board is expected to adhere to. Chairs may not be moved from one room to another.
ATTENDANCE AT CONVENTION

The Glenbow Museum will have a special $5.00 admission rate for delegates who can show their ATA cards or wrist band.

REGISTERING FOR AN ATRF INTERVIEW AT CONVENTION - IS NOW FULL
To book a personal pension interview go to http://www.pdtca.org/book-pension-interview.html. Bookings are usually open at the beginning of December. Location of interviews is Show Offices #1 and #2 on the third floor of the North building. The elevator is in the Pre-Function area as you are leaving to go through the glass doors into the hallway to the Hyatt.

There will be no cash concession this year at our convention. There are now coffee shops in the Hyatt (Bakers, below the escalator/main floor) and in both convention buildings (North building, main floor) and a Starbucks just a few steps away, in the Marriot(connected to the South building).
The second floor of the Hyatt has a bank machine.
EXHIBITS HOURS OF OPERATION
Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m
Make sure someone from your local brings your local banner for display at the convention.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Pre Con area at Ex Hall will be open at 7:30 a.m.. Tradeshow opens 8:00 a.m. each day.
This year teachers will enjoy low bandwidth FREE wireless internet at both the Hyatt and the CTCC. At the Hyatt, free wifi will be available in the Imperial Ballroom area, and at the CTCC, in the prefunction spaces, Glen rooms, and Telus rooms. The bandwidth will be great for checking emails but not for streaming video and music.
Attached are the instructions for the free wireless, available in the North building Pre-function, E1-E4 foyer, Macleod foyer and TELUS/Glen rooms.
At the Hyatt the free Wi-Fi for teachers is available using SSID: @Hyatt_Meeting. The password is PDT2017
PDTCA will again be offering a user pay coat check outside Macleod Hall on both days.
LOST AND FOUND
Lost and found goes to the check in desk at the Hyatt or the main floor CTCC reception desk.
Please note that all session information is taken directly from our database and will reflect any errors made by the party who submitted the speaking proposal.
N.B.This is a closed convention for delegates only. Please do not bring your spouse to the convention sessions. The general public, which includes parents, is also not allowed to attend. You are also reminded that the two days of convention are teaching days and therefore children should not attend.
