FAQ
Please check out this page https://www.pdtca.org/faq.html for frequently asked questions.
ZOOM
Test your ability to connect before convention starts. Zoom offers for people to test their devices to see if they can connect. Click https://zoom.us/test to get to the test site you can join from. Once there click on the Join button and follow what happens on the screen.
Also important is to download the latest version of Zoom at https://zoom.us/download The one you need for your computer is right at the top of the page called ZOOM CLIENT FOR MEETINGS. There are features missing unless you have the latest version. There have been several new versions in January.
PRE-REGISTRATION
We do not need to pre-register for sessions as this is not an in person convention. There should be ample room for delegates to join a session. We have choices of up to 300, up to 1000, and up to 10,000 logins per session. Hopefully our estimates are close because when the maximum is reached no more logins will be allowed. Some speakers have given permission to have their session recorded in which case you can still view the session for 48 hours.
We do have a few speakers who are now requesting to limit participants due to the fact that you absolutely need the supplies and cannot just watch to participate. The number of participants is shown with the title. The speaker will keep track of who has purchased a kit and only those names will be allowed in from the waiting room.
EVALUATION FORMAT
The evaluation form is available through the evaluation link for each session in Sched. You do need to create a profile and be logged in to access the evaluation form, but you can view the schedule without logging in.
ONLINE HANDOUTS
Online handouts are available in Sched this year by clicking on the session title to reveal the details where you will find the handouts if there are any. It is most important that you check the session description and the list of handouts and download them. For some sessions you need the handouts in order to participate even though you are online.
SESSION CAPACITY
Sessions are full when no new logins are allowed when you click on the meeting link. At that point you will have to choose a different session.
